On Thursday, May 19th, undocumented students and allies from across North Carolina will gather at the North Carolina General Assembly to call for fairness, opportunity and equal access to education by shining a light on the thousands of undocumented students who graduate each year from North Carolina high schools but are unable to continue their education due to the extreme costs of out-of-state tuition.
North Carolina has an estimated 42,000 undocumented students in its school systems. Hundreds of undocumented students graduate from NC high schools each year, but are unable to attend college because of the high out-of-state tuition fees and their inability to receive federal and state financial aid. A broad coalition of groups from across the state will gather to highlight the need for tuition equality.
Join us at the North Carolina General Assembly (16 W. Jones Street, Raleigh, North Carolina 27601) as we fight for tuition equity for ALL!
