Our Program "Our Rights Have No Borders" is constantly creating and promoting campaigns for our community.  Our most recent project is Youth Links, which involves several conferences about interest subjects for the youth Latino. More than 100 youth are participating in this event.

The objective of the Youth links is to increase the capacity of Latino youth to become leaders and advocates in sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), as well as establish and strengthen the connection between the immigration and education agenda, with the SRH and human rights agenda. Participants, who will include stakeholders from public and private sectors, will discuss challenges faced by the Latino community around sex education and access to reproductive health services

The forum will be attended by up to 100 Latino youth from various counties in North Carolina. The youth will participate in one of three specific tracks: 1) the Healthy Youth Act; 2) access to SRH services and 3) the effects of media, discrimination and stigma on the sexuality of Latino youth. Through the forum the youth will strengthen their advocacy skills, develop messages and action plans on issues they would like to work on.

This program has been developed and implemented through a collaborative effort between El Pueblo, Inc. and Ipas with funding from Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation. For additional information about:
