Reforma Migratoria

El sistema actual de inmigración esta roto, y necesitamos arreglarlo. En junio de 2009, cientos de organizaciones aliadas dieron comienzo a la Campaña de Reforma Migratoria PRO America en ciudades por todo el país. El Pueblo, Inc. se place en ser parte de este movimiento de base para reformar el actual sistema de inmigración y le invitamos a que se una a nosotros. 

287(g) Program

The 287(g) program is an agreement between local law enforcement agencies and Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE) that gives local law enforcement the authority to enforce immigration law. Six counties (Alamance, Cabarrus, Gaston, Henderson, Mecklenburg, and Wake) and one city (Durham) in North Carolina are in partnership with ICE through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA).

Access to Higher Education

For the last couple of years, the North Carolina Community College System has constantly changed its stands on whether or not to admit undocumented students. In the spring of 2010, the NC Community College Board of Directors gave a step forward by voting to allow undocumented students to enroll in any of the 58 NC Community Colleges with specific restrictions.
